Challenge
Move the narrative beyond statistics and highlight reels to capture the emotional, historical, and cultural weight of African excellence on the world stage.

The Idea
Establish a thematic framework centred on pride, heritage, and renaissance. Position the awards not only as recognition of individual achievement, but as a celebration of a new era for African football.

Execution
Developed the overarching narrative direction for the event. Wrote three anchor pieces shaping the tone of the ceremony and reinforcing the theme across communications. Contributed to host selection, aligning Kate Scott’s presence with the vision of the awards and the broader celebration of African football culture.

Impact
Elevated the awards from a trophy presentation to a cultural statement, reinforcing African football’s global influence and future trajectory.

Finally, I developed the overarching theme for the event, ensuring it resonated with the legacy and future of African football. I also contributed to the selection of the event’s host, Kate Scott, aligning her presence with the vision of the awards and the wider celebration of African excellence in football.
